Yes: The low fat diet is helpful only if fatty foods exacerbate the symptoms. A low fat diet does nothing to prevent problems with gallstones. If you're having trouble with them, See a general surgeon for a consultation to find out if laparoscopic gallbladder removal is appropriate. Hope this helps!
