Occipital mastoid : bone tenderness may indicate outer ear or occipital lymph nodes involvement if there's also mild swelling. If no swelling then it could be a normal finding, as long as there's no inflammation present locally around the area. Pain is important to discuss with your doctor. If mild tenderness only, watch that area, and call your doctor.If it doesn't improve, call your Doctor for further examination.
