Lymph node: sounds like a swollen lymph node. When you press on it the pain may be from recent infection in mouth or neck skin. If you had a recent infection expect the node to remain for one month. If longer see a doctor

Lymph nodes?: I don't think its dangerous. My recommendation is having the lump evaluated by your doctor since there may be some treatment that can help it resolve faster.
