A 50 yr old w rheumatoid arthritis has been on methotrexate with good control. enbrel (etanercept) started in 2/15 worked for a week but now pain is worse?

See details. : Why was Enbrel (etanercept) started if the disease was well controlled on methotrexate? The increase in joint pain is probably not related to Enbrel (etanercept) and is more likely a flare of the RA. Rarely, Enbrel (etanercept) may cause a drug induced lupus, however.
