A member asked:

I have pain on my right side right above my buttock what can this be ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ARealPainInTheButt!!: It's common to get pain in that area. If I'm guessing correctly, that's the upper area of your pelvic bone where i joins the sacrum (a wide triangular bone). Prolonged sitting or improper lifting or running can kick it off. It's really annoying. I've heard that a chiropractor could help with this but it will recur unless you give attention to proper posture and spinal alignment.
