Buttock Pain: Without a little more detail, such as the quality of the pain, the appearance of the skin, your history leading up to the onset, and possible other symptoms, it is hard to say. Often a developing infection, such as an abscess, can present this way. So called nerve pain ("sciatica") due to certain back conditions can also be responsible. Other musculo-skeletal conditions are possible.See your md.
