Nerve irritation.: Statistically, median nerve compression at the wrist, AKA carpal tunnel syndrome is the most likely cause of your symptoms. However, there are other potential causes, some more serious than others. You need to see a doctor, get a detailed history & physical exam and possibly some other tests.
