Prevent over cure: Not sure which vaccine info you're seeking, but they're for prevention. In children, far better to prevent serious infections. Example: meningococcal vaccine. The infection itself acts so rapidly that intervention is typically too late. In my internship, I saw a child hospitalized with high fever & rash. Despite diagnosis & IV antibiotics, rash spread & he died in 6 hours. Hope that helps.

Would need to: know what vaccine(s) you are talking about to answer the question. Vaccines are extremely important for preventing many diseases and all vaccines given in this country are safe and necessary. See the Academy of Pediatrics website: aap.org and ask your child's pediatrician for information.

Immunization : It is important to immunize your child as recommended by AAP at the appropriate age , there are so many available vaccines some come in combinations, they protect your child against deadly or incapacitating diseases, most of these vaccines are manadatory, your child can't enroll in daycare or school without them, some vaccines have side effects, the most common is fever & local reactions.

Vaccines: The purpose of vaccinations is to prevent children from getting potentially life-threatening diseases. You should discuss with your pediatrician based on the age of your child what your child needs and why- especially the ones against meningitis

Kids need protection: Vaccines are safe for kids (with only rare exceptions). Vaccines have been safely used in hundreds of millions of babies to prevent bad diseases. If a particular child has a very weak immune system, and there is concern about some live vaccines, the doctor will make special recommendations. If a child had some reaction after a vaccine, the doctor may also have special advice for the family.
