A member asked:

How can flonase help the swelling of a middle nasal septum?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. John Chiu answered

It doesn't: Flonase should not be aimed at the septum since it will likely cause nosebleeds. The nasal septum does not swell much if at all . If aimed towards the side of the nose where the swelling occurs, it works by reducing inflammation which accounts for much of the nasal symptoms including swelling.
