Get another scan: Fluid in the baby's kidneys is not "normal," but is somewhat common. I think you are describing renal pylectasis, or dilation of kidney. This often will resolve on its own, but you should still have follow-up. Your doctor will probably recommend this in 2-4 weeks, depending on severity.
