Get another scan: Fluid in the baby's kidneys is not "normal," but is somewhat common. I think you are describing renal pylectasis, or dilation of kidney. This often will resolve on its own, but you should still have follow-up. Your doctor will probably recommend this in 2-4 weeks, depending on severity.

Stupid question. My renal sonographer reported my complex renal kidney cyst as 4.7 x 5.2 cm. What is it's size in cm? I see online that cysts dimensions are reported as one number--1cm, 4cm?
