Don't pick!: The first answer to care of swollen, sore pimples is to not pick or manipulate them in any way. Keep them clean and dry. You may apply an over the counter medicine that contains benzoyl peroxide, 5-10%, and give it time to heal. If you continue to have breakouts with swollen tender acne, see your doctor for evaluation and prescription treatment.
