MRI - Device Present: Some heart pacemakers and other devices are now being engineered to be MRI safe. Most stents are safe after a 6 to 12 week wait for the vessel wall lining to cover them with a fresh layer of cells. The implanting MD can tell you if it is safe to have a MRI.in all cases
