When i cough, my left ovary hurts. i feel a sharp pain every time. why? how can i treat it?

Unsure why: If this is a new development and only lasts a few days, it may be related to a normal ovarian cyst. Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) is ok to take in the short term. If the pain is severe or if this has been going on for more than a few weeks, then you should be seen by your gynecologist for an exam.
