Clarifying your: irrational thoughts about rainwater can simply have more irrational thoughts pop up about another topic. Please see a mental health professional who specializes in OCD for support. There is a neurological component to OCD but also a very real need to control the uncontrollable. Peace and good health.

OCD symptoms: Although SSRIs can be very helpful for many people with OCD symptoms, I also recommend seeing an experienced therapist. Many symptoms such as these may have their start from some disturbing event(s) and can be resolved with effective trauma therapy such as EMDR.
