Is it okay to get an 39.4 c fever 5 wks after got an lap appendectomy ?

See doctor ASAP: Such a high fever is never okay. If you're also having pain in the area of the appendectomy, or anywhere in your abdomen, perhaps it's realted to the appendectomy. Otherwise, it probably has nothing to do with that. No matter what, see a doctor immediately. Anything causing such a high fever can be very serious. Good luck!

No: It may or may not be related to the surgery. either way you need to been seend by your PCP and possibly the operating surgeon

Probably not related: Unless you've also had other symptoms since your operation, a fever 5 wks post-op is likely due to a different cause than your operation.
