I have 3 bone spurs in my mouth. does it hurt a lot to get them removed and do you know what it costs to get them removed?

No*: With any surgical procedure there is some level of discomfort. Your mouth will be, or should be numb when the procedure is performed. Whether or not you have pain may depend upon your level of anxiety. pain threshold, size and location of the bone to be removed, as well as type of anesthesia/sedation provided. The cost can vary depending on where and who performs the surgery and any sedation.

Probably tori: these are probably tori that are natural bony lumps that some people have and most people don't realize that exist in their mouth. They usually don't need removal unless they interfere with denture fit. If it is actually bone spurs these usually connected with a recent surgery and may resolve on their own. Check with your dentist to get a correct diagnosis and they can advise you if trtmnt is due.

Oral bone spurs: A Question. DId you recently have any teeth removed? If so, these bone spurs may be sequestrums--small bone fragments that break loose and work their way through t e soft tissue and are like splinters. Return to the surgeon who took out the teeth and he/she should be able to pluck them free. If this the case in my practice the cost would be free. If for any other reason, it may cost $150-$300
