Ear Wax Removal: If you are currently asymptomatic I usually recommend not removing ear wax. If you have symptoms due to wax accumulation options for removal include cerumenolytic agents, irrigation, and mechanical removal. The most commonly used cerumenolytics are preparations of mineral oil or hydrogen peroxide, both available over-the–counter. Irrigation and removal are performed by doctor only.
