Vaccines 4 Asplenia: A twenty year old should have already received Haemophilus vac in childhood and meningococcal vac as an adolescent. Make sure you got those, or get them now. Pneumococcal vaccination is the most important vaccine to have; kids get Prevnar (pneumococcal vaccine) now as infants, but an asplenic adult still needs the 23-valent Pneumovax vaccine .
