A member asked:

My husband has to get the pneumovax vaccine every 5 years because due to an accident he does not have a spleen. they have always injected the it into his stomach, but this year the injection was done in his left arm. will this make a difference?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The immune system recognizes the shot in either location & responds. It is actually usually given in the deltoid muscle of the upper arm.
