Cool compresses: Cool compresses can help with some of the symptoms. There are over-the-counter eyedrops that can help with redness and itching. Prescription allergy drops are the most effective, and often work with only once daily application. You need to see an eye doctor or your medical doctor for that prescription.

Ocular Allergies: Ocular allergies can be treated by avoiding your known causes(modifying your environment), using artificial tears (dilutional treatment), or by taking antihistamine eye drops. The latter can be prescribed by md, and some are available over the counter. The latter include zaditor, (ketotifen) alaway, Claritin eye drops, and zyrtec eye drops to name a few. Oral antihistamines do not seem to be as satisfying.

Allergies : Try cool compresses. Antihistamine eye drops are very effective for itching due to allergies. There are many over the counter. You can also use preservative free artificial tears and oral omega-3's. If this is not helping, you can consult with your eye md and use prescription drops.
