Middle ear fluid: Greetings. Middle ear fluid causes hearing loss, ear pressure and pain at times and possibly even dizziness. Not sure if your doctor recommended treatment but beginning an OTC nasal spray like Nasacort (triamcinolone) every night might help resolve the effusion. We as ENT doctors recommend considering further treatment after a total of 3 months have passed without the fluid clearing.
