Endometrioma symptom: Endometrioma develop when endometrial tissue (found normally lining the endometrium inside the uterus) implant OUTSIDE the uterus, usually somewhere in the pelvis, even on the ovary. This tissue is estrogen-dependent, and can grow in response to circulating estrogen. Symptoms can include pelvic pain, painful menses, pain with intercourse, and/or infertility.
