A 40-year-old member asked:
what are substitutes for quick weight loss center supplements?

Dr. David Sneid answered

Neither: Neither otc substitutes or quick weight loss center supplements work long term. No one knows what's in them or what they might do to your body. The only thing that gets smaller is your wallet. Invest in healthy diet and exercise to find a way to lose weight and keep it off the rest of your life. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.

None: Do not waste your money on the online hucksters who want to sell you supplements that are "legal". Do not buy stuff with ephedrine (ephedrine sulfate). Just eat less.

Oxyelite pro: It contains 6 active ingredients; caffeine, bacopa monniere, bauhinia purpurea, rauwolfia, cirsium oligophyllum, & geranium. They stimulate the thyroid gland & boost metabolism. It can lead to overstimulation, heart trouble, sweating, & menstrual cycle changes. I personally would not recommend it.

A 41-year-old member asked:
How do I choose a weight loss supplement to aid me in my weight loss goals?
1 doctor answer • 1 doctor weighed in

Dr. Alan Feldman answered
Endocrinology 41 years experience
There are none: There are no over-the-counter weight loss supplements that have good clinical studies showing that they work. Billions of dollars are spent each year by for supplements that do not work. The fda does not control this industry because they are considered food supplements, not drugs. Read the disclaimer on all of these products that says "these statements have not been evaluated by the fda, etc.".
