What strength Rx ed: Yes if your doctor wanted you tp take 10 mg of lipitor (atorvastatin) if you have 20 mg tablets you can cut to half with pill cutter the dose will be same , Many do one month supply will become 2 month supply. By scientific basis , non generic and generic will be same by FDA standards . Some have doubts on the integrity of unknown small companies that supply generic drugs compared to giant mega companies

Yes & yes: Many people save some money by taking half of the double dose (taking 1/2 of 20 to get 10). Only break 1 pill at a time. That way, if the break is uneven, you'll get perhaps 8 mg one day, but 12 mg the next day and it evens out. And yes, the generic is fine. Good luck!
