I have diarrhea and gas every morning, i eat about 2 sticks of chalk daily. usually at nights i eat a slice of bread and some milk. this has been going on for some time i think it has something to do with the bread but i'm not sure?

? lactose intolerant: Many people can not digest milk sugar,called lactose. Sometimes they may drink regular milk by taking an over-the-counter pill containing lactase, the enzyme necessary to digest it. All that milk sugar is a delight to your bowel flora--they ferment it, causing gas and diarrhea. Now, the desire to eat chalk is called "pica", and may be caused by a deficiency, such as iron. See your pcp.
