Post-infectious...: The persistence of symptoms of intestinal sensitivity and variable stools sound more consistent with a "post-infectious" irritable bowel, but may characterize giardia, a carrier state of chronic infection, or even "topical sprue." this post-infectious syndrome has recently also been appreciated after recovery from diverticulitis. Ask your doctor for evaluation and advice.
