Strep throat: You don't need to take oxycodone for just sore throat, simple medications such as tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen should provide the relief you need without taking oxycodone. Feel better.

Gargling with warm water with salt helps also. There are anesthetic lozenges which can help temporarily or even throat sprays.
