8 hrs ago i fell landing directly on my knee. now i can feel a noticeable indentation if i feel my kneecap. it hurts but not 2 bad. what could that be?

Don't worry: If it doesn't hurt too bad, it's probably nothing to worry about. It might bruise over the next 1-3 days, though.

The indentation you-: -feel is most likely a tear in the synovial lining of the pre patellar bursa. it can develop into a problem with bleeding into the area. use lots o ice and rest and elevate. if there is an abrasion over the area infection can also be a problem. I would see what a couple days does, if getting worse see an orthopedic surgeon, sooner if getting significantly worse. no good image, a shame for web site
