How long will it take for a lg thigh hematoma (~ 3"x5") to start getting smaller? i injured my leg almost 2 weeks ago. it's quite large,hard&painful.

Hematoma: Sometimes a hematoma will harden under the skin as a painful,tender lump and will need to be removed with a small incision if warm soaks Don't cause it to recede. A general surgeon performs the procedure.
