Definitely: the top dose of ibuprofen in a 24 hour period would be 2400mgs and you took 4000,mgs. You must follow the instructions on your bottle of medication. Get examined by a physician if severe headache persists as possibilities include migraine,aneurysm,high blood pressure,brain tumor or hemorrhage,glaucoma,etc.
