May hold true: recurrent and metastatic disease is common problem with malignancies. When matrix metalloproteinase develops it produces small e-cadherin inducing spread of tumor. Depending on the type of lesion one looks for lung, liver, bone and other areas.. The most effective study is the PET/CAT that will demonstrate most sites of spread.for potential therapy.
