Be gentle: Usually minor trauma to the gum will heal without any treatment. Just be gentle with it. Avoid brushing the gum area and avoid hot , spicy, or acidic foods especially if it comes in contact with the area. Over 7 to 10 days it should be healed. If it becomes inflamed or getting an infection, see your dentist.

Time and salt water: It should heal relatively fast doing nothing. Often warm salt water rinses help soothe it. Clearly, keep hard foods away from it and be extra careful brushing. It wil be gone before you realize it. Good Luck.

Warm salt H20 rinses: Warm salt water rinses should cure this quickly. If you want to place some benzocaine topical over area you will get temporary relief (numbing). You can get that at any pharmacy over the counter. Just ask your pharmacist.

Salt water rinse: Rinse with warm salt water and remember to brush at a 45 degree angle to clean the interface between the tooth and the gums. Time will heal.

Be gentle : Be gentle when brushing. Brush gently but thoroughly. Keep injured area clean...it will heal on its own. Any questions, see your Dentist.
