Not likely: WHen you rest your elbow on a hard surface you are entraping a nerve, try not to do that it is common, just the way our bodies are put together, The carpal tunnel is due to over use, you must be thin.

Treatable!: Cubital tunnel syndrome is very responsive to treatment. Conservative measures including anti-inflammatories or bracing of the elbow. Surgical decompression is fairly reliable to cure this. This is generally recommended with progressive or persistent numbness, tingling, or weakness or pain.
