Symptoms or signs?: Symptoms refers to what the PATIENT is feeling; signs are what is seen by doctors. An X-ray can still show the lingering signs of a pleural effusion, especially if the pleural effusion is caused by "trapped" lung, cancer, or a severe infection. So, the "solution" depends on the CAUSE of the pleural effusion & what was done to treat it. Talk to ur doctor / pulmonologist for advice. Diagnosis is key
