First...: If she has been sexually active the first thing to check for is pregnancy, so it would be a good idea to get a home regency test. If negative, then other possibilities include: viral infection, thyroid problems, elevated blood sugar or too low blood sugar, among others. She needs evaluation in order to come to final diagnosis.
