hi i stepped on a rusty nail , which punctured about 1/2 and inch , i have left it for 24hrs after washing it , however it is still very painfull?

Puncture wound: Puncture side may possibly got infected. Go to an urgent care or ER. You need tetanus injection if you are not up to date. May be an x-ray, antibiotic prescription and pain medication. You can not manage it by yourself. You can have serious complications.

As soon as you want: Your baby doesn't do much to get themselves dirty, so most babies do not need a bath more than once or twice a week. Until the cord has fallen off and has healed, your baby's belly shouldn't be immersed in water, so that means sponge bathing. It's ok to use soap right after birth, just use a mild soap intended for infants.
