2% milk or soy milk: Some toddlers do get constipated from the casein in milk, especially if they are also getting a lot of other dairy in their diet, such as cheese and yogurt. Soy milk is ok to give, as it also has calcium and a complete protein. He needs at least 2-3 calcium/dairy/soy servings a day for bone health. You may improve constipation with giving prunes, bran cereal. Almond milk is low in protein.
