My ortho dr has advised me during arthrolysis surgery he had to move my mcl in order to reach scar tissue, thus it needs time to heal...is this common?

Confused: Need more information to give you a good answer, but that doesn't make sense. Sometimes the MCL can be stretched and injured during the arthroscopy but it always heals back by itself in that setting.
