Completely different: viruses. rubella or German measles is a relatively benign rash virus that has very few complications except in pregnant women where it can cause devastating damage to the fetus. Roseola is a high fever x 3-4 days then rash appearing virus. occurs very frequently in children under 3 years old. generally adults don't contract the virus as they had it when they were young. there is a rubella vaccine
