Never heard that BUT: I don't see why a Vagus Nerve couldn't be inflamed by autoimmune circumstances, the presence of a virus, or being caught up in nasty abscess. So by that standard any organ including the heart could be affected if the actual vagal connections are compromised due to inflammation of the nerve. I think it would be very hard to prove Vagal Neuritis with today's science but we could figure it out.
