Possibly Related: Possibly unrelated. Antibiotics are not normally prescribed for an extraction unless there was an infection. Maxillary or mandibular tooth? Might be sinus communication. Please see the dentist who extracted the tooth.

Sinus Infection: pain around the face, headache and thick yellow or green mucus is a sign of the sinus infection. Its possible there may have been an oro-antral communication after the extraction. See your dentist for post op and treatment if needed.
