A member asked:

Right under my eye is a little swollen and red and has tiny white bumps that are barely noticeable. it burns a little when i touch it what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Meibum: These little eyelid margin whitish-yellow bumps are oil secretions from your glands of Meibum. They're usually rather inconspicuous but when the secretions are not released well, due to dysfunction, they appear as little bumps. Sometimes they backup significantly, get inflamed, and produce a sty. The stagnant secretions may burn. Do warm compresses and lid massages daily to help improv flow.
