A member asked:

Why does my urologist think that a ct scan is more accurate for kidney stones when my pain and history match the ultrasound finding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your urologist: already answered you , although sonogram is less invasive , no radiation , inexpensive , when CT is done with contrast will show even small stone , status of ureter , where it is blocking, possible to predict if you will be able to pass the stone with out intervention . If you don't believe your doctor take a second opinion
