A member asked:

I suffered from kidney pain during the fasting months of two previous years. no stone was detected in ultrasound or ct scan. what to do?

Nephrologist: Speak to a nephrologist. Good general recommendations are to always drink a lot of water (64 ozs daily) and avoid situations that result in concentrating the urine (anything that "dries" you out). Fasting, with the prohibition on drinking water from sunup to sundown, would certainly help explain "stone-like" pain episodes, but perhaps there are other reasons that a nephrologist can explain.
