For what reason ?: Gauze usually placed over an extraction socket.

You can, however,: usually between root canal appointments the canal opening is covered with a temporary filling material to protect the tooth. No gauze is needed. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact your dentist or endodontist.
