Observe: If your procedure was a week ago and your post procedure course has been uneventful without excess bleeding, it is ok to omit the methergine (methylergonovine) at this point

Methergine (methylergonovine): it is used to cause uterine contraction and decrease bleeding . If you are bleeding and do not take it you may bleed more if > 4 pads a day call you doctor. if you are not bleeding anymore or just spotting it may not be that noticeable. Again if >. 4 pads/ day call the doctor . f/u with doctor/ urgent care

Not much will happen: Methergine (methylergonovine) is often a useful precautionary medication given immediately after an abortion to help contract your uterus and minimize your blood loss. If your surgical abortion was a week ago, it is not really clear or probable that you need any methergine (methylergonovine) or any oxytocic any more.
