A member asked:

What core excersises are best to do when you have a compression fracture in your thoracic level 8 vertebra?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Weight bearing: Wait til the acute pain has subsided. Any weight bearing exercise, such as walking, strengthens the bones. Be sure you have enough vitamin d in your diet. Ask your doctor to check your vitamin d level. There is alot of variability in an individual's requirements for vitamin d. An alkaline diet--lots of veggies--is also good for your bones.
