A member asked:

I have told 3 doctors that i drink when i got on paroxetine and they said that was fine if i don't take it at the same time. i read different. true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I disagree: It is never a good idea, as a doctor, to NOT DISAGREE with a patient being treated with an antidepressant medication when asked if OK to drink alcohol. I entirely disagree with any medical doctor who thinks otherwise. I disappointed to hear that there are colleagues think that's OK because it is potentially dangerous. Alcohol should never be taken with prescription drugs.
