Thyroid imbalance: You could be sick. Here's the cycle: you get sick, make a fever, feel hot, then sweat, feel cold, then shiver, then make a fever again. This is how you can be hot and cold at the same time. If you're not sick, then have your doctor check your thyroid blood test -- sometimes you may have very strange, paradoxical symptoms if your thyroid is out of balance.
