A member asked:

Is 1 injection of rocephin (ceftriaxone) enough for an infection of my finger from a clean glass cut?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cellulitis: It depends on if you have an infection and to what extent. A single dose of ceftriaxone may treat a mild skin cellulitis. It sounds to me like it was given as a prophylactic dose just in case you introduced bacteria into the wound. :)
